Duncan Kidd







Playwright, Dramaturg and Drama Practitioner based in Edinburgh. Current projects include Leith Moves a community arts project focusing on the Leith Docks; a forthcoming tour of Italy with an adaptation of Shakepeare's Coriolanus for young people; and an exciting commission which is soon to be announced. His work has been described as “inspired” by The Scotsman and himself as “a future voice of lyricism and originality” by the judges of the Rowan Tree Playwright Competition. Recent work includes Being a Dad at the Just Festival 2016; the project A Wee Flutter, which won an Inspiring Volunteering Award for its work in the community; and the acclaimed Persevere as part of the Gretna 100 commemorations. He has worked in schools and prisons; and extensively with young people aged 5 to 18 in devising, facilitation and youth theatre settings. His work has taken him from all across Scotland to leading workshops at the famous Piccolo Teatro in Milan.
