Marketplace at Awards 2015

Bringing together creatives, digital natives, techies and makers based in Edinburgh and beyond, Marketplace at this year's Creative Edinburgh Awards & 4th Birthday Bash will showcase a range of projects, products and works in a 'market' style environment. After the success of last year’s pop-up, we’re delighted to once again bring together creatives from a range of disciplines to exhibit; fashion & textiles, publishing, digital media, animation, artwork, prints, photography, craft and more. We’re thrilled to confirm the following exhibitors:

A PAIR OF BLUE EYES

A Pair of Blye Eyes is ran by printmaker & designer Jenni Douglas. Jenni creates contemporary designs using traditional printmaking techniques, which she then develops into a range of products including artworks, homewares and printed textiles. Jenni will show a selection of new prints, cards, homewares (eg mugs, coasters) and cushions, all available to purchase.

EYE JOY

Eye Joy is driven by a desire for beauty and order, where a sense of formalism brings an emphasis on compositional elements such as colour, line, shape and repetition to enhance the viewer's aesthetic experience. I take inspiration from the everyday- from objects and films to places and people- and my aesthetically driven mind processes them into colourful and intricate reflections of the world. Works will be available to purchase on the evening.

PINGGO

Created by Sarah Lee, founder and CEO of Hot Tin Roof PR agency. Sarah saw a gap in the market and to address this, built PingGo, the world’s first do it yourself PR Machine. PingGo helps you tell the world your story. You have a killer business idea. Your products are dazzling. But no-one has heard of you. You need a plan ... a cunning plan. PingGo is for anyone whose job is to get publicity for their company. You don't need a background in PR or to be an amazing writer. You just need to know your own business and why you are the best! PingGo will be available at the Marketplace to test and hopefully sign up to.

The Marketplace will take place at the Creative Edinburgh Awards & 4th Birthday Party on 12th November at The Biscuit Factory. This is an opportunity to get together as a community of creative professionals to celebrate and amplify the talent in Edinburgh. Our awards highlight great ideas, inspired thinking and recognise the outstanding creativity of our city across all platforms and sectors, from process to outcome.

Come and join us for one heck of a party; with special guest performances, silent disco and of course, the announcement of this year's winners. This year's awards Illustration has been designed by Illustrator Dominic Kesterton and the awards will be created and produced by Designer Karen Mabon.
