Deadline 22 July 2018
Gallery 23 is currently searching for experienced and enthusiastic students in graphic design who would like to volunteer at a working art gallery. The gallery is affiliated with the English-Speaking Union Scotland, a worldwide educational charity. Our headquarters in Edinburgh includes an art gallery and performance space comprising two main rooms with a library that is used for small group lectures and similar activities. The gallery is located in a great location in the West End of Edinburgh, a five minute walk from Princes Street and Haymarket Station. Currently we host exhibitions, performances, lectures and film screenings. Besides helping to coordinate exhibitions and events, students would be encouraged to organise their own events in our space if they are so inclined. Interested students should contact me at the address below if they wish to be considered. Please include a brief description of themselves as well as their particular interests. Students well versed in social media would be particularly valuable. As it would be essentially a voluntary position, time and hours would be flexible with the exception of general meetings on Friday afternoons and event evenings on Friday evenings once or twice a month.
