Job: Youth Events Assistant [ Paid Internship ]

The Youth Events Internship will give you a head start on building your knowledge of coordinating events focused on the film industry and media education. Tuesday 10th April to Monday 2nd July 2018 Fixed term paid internship. Part-time (21hrs) for 4 weeks, Full-time (35hrs) for 8 weeks. EIFF Interns are paid the National Living Wage (25+) Edinburgh International Film Festival has secured funding from Event Scotland for activity during Year of Young People. This funding will allow the Festival to consolidate and develop the opportunities provided for young audiences at EIFF through an expanded youth strand, The Young & the Wild. We are now looking for an enthusiastic individual to help deliver on the ambitious plans to make The Young & the Wild an essential film event for young people in Edinburgh and across Scotland. The role will appeal to someone who takes pride in their organisational, presentation and communication skills, who is creative but can also think practically, who has an interest in youth development and the film industry. Job: Guest Services Assistant [ Paid Internship ]

The Guest Services Internship may be of particular interest if you are considering a career in festival management, talent management, hospitality or film PR. Monday 23rd April to Friday 6th July 2 roles: Full-time, fixed term, paid internships. Under the instruction of the Guest Services Manager, you will be primarily assisting the Guest Services Coordinators who arrange travel, accommodation, hospitality and itineraries for filmmaker, industry and press guests. In 2017 the team managed arrangements for over 800 industry, filmmaker and press guests. You will help deal with enquiries from filmmakers and programmers, research contact details and travel routes and help ensure our records are kept up to date. You will gain experience of a fast paced environment and a team working to tight deadlines with strict budgets whilst providing excellent customer service to our visiting guests. With support from the team, you will build confidence in communicating effectively and professionally by email and phone. During the Festival you will also be required to help manage guest attendance at screenings, events and functions and assist with hospitality arrangements, often liaising directly with guests, with the opportunity to put any language skills to use.
