Earlier this year, we partnered with Hidden Door Festival and the National Centre for Music to present the Creative Edinburgh Stage at the Opening Party of the 2025 Hidden Door Festival. The Stage was a celebration of local musical talent that opened the festival with energy, diversity and soul.
But beyond the buzz of the event, what really mattered was the impact it had on the seventeen emerging musicians who took to the stage.
For many of the performers, this opportunity wasn’t just another gig - it was a defining moment in their musical journey. Several described it as a catalyst for increased confidence, deeper local connections, and the motivation to keep going in a challenging industry.

Performers had the chance to showcase their work in front of festival-goers, with professional tech support and photography capturing their sets. For many, this helped boost their digital portfolios and raise their profiles with future bookers.
