Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an experienced, entrepreneurial, Edinburgh-based Marketing & Communications Lead who is interested in the creative industries and community to join our Executive Team on a part-time basis. This role is key to delivering against the vision for Creative Edinburgh. You will be responsible for leading the strategic delivery of Creative Edinburgh’s Communications and Marketing Strategy to ensure the widest possible reach within the local, national and international audiences.

You will lead and deliver work across press, digital, social media, print and advertising to grow engagement and build our reputation and profile as one of the key sector support organisations in the country. This also includes PR and Media engagement with local, national and international print, broadcast and digital media partners.

As a member of a small, dynamic team, you will play an important role in shaping the organisation over the coming years and supporting the growth of our creative community. You’ll also be a team player with a keen interest in creative content and ideas for innovative marketing.

What will you be doing?

As we grow our programmes and scale up our initiatives, we need an experienced and strategic individual to take ownership of our marketing and communications strategy to reflect the organisation’s success over the last few years and to take us through the next phase of development and growth.

The remit of the role covers raising awareness of Creative Edinburgh and its activities, deepening engagement and growing membership relationships, and proactively supporting fundraising activities. The role needs to constantly balance commercial, membership and artistic/stakeholder needs, whilst keeping the organisation’s charitable purpose at the fore.
