Nominations open for the 2024 Creative Edinburgh Awards!

Whether you want to nominate a colleague, a friend, or even yourself, now is the time to shine a spotlight on the creative achievements that make Edinburgh a cultural hub. There are ten award categories covering a wide range of creative practices, and we want to hear about anyone and everyone who deserves recognition for their work! You can read more about all ten awards categories and the eligibility criteria here.

For 2024, we are introducing two new awards: The Development Award will recognise personal and professional growth within the creative sector, and The Festivals Award, which will celebrate festivals that demonstrate exceptional creativity, inclusivity and community engagement, regardless of size or resources. 

Applications are open for nominations now and will close at 9am, Tuesday 10 September!

How to Apply

The Creative Edinburgh Awards are free to enter and open to anyone living or working in the Edinburgh city region. 

To nominate yourself or someone else, you simply need to fill in the nomination application, hosted on Typeform, and available from our Awards Nominations page. 

As Typeform responses are not editable once submitted, we have also provided a downloadable template where you can think about and write out your application before then copying it over to the Typeform link when you’re ready to submit! 

Applications can be submitted in different formats - written and video. Video submissions can be made in English or British Sign Language.

2024 Creative Edinburgh Awards Ceremony

We are so excited to share that this year the Awards Ceremony will take place on Friday 15 November (mark your calendars!) at Summerhall -  a space integral to the creative scene in Edinburgh and a fitting venue to host this wonderful community! More information about what can be expected from the event will be shared in the coming months. 

We can’t wait to find out more about all the amazing creative initiatives taking place around the city, so spread the word and start nominating!
