Who are Techscaler?
Techscaler is the Scottish Government’s tech startup support programme, delivered by CodeBase. Techscaler supports everyone in Scotland who wants to build a startup, regardless of background, and was created to increase the number of successful Scottish startups, build the Scottish economy, and provide opportunities for the people of Scotland and beyond.
What do they do?
Techscaler helps people across Scotland to launch and scale tech startups, regardless of background, technical ability, or stage of the journey, through education, mentorship, community, and workspaces. Seven Techscaler hubs across Scotland provide work and event space for startups to grow and gather, expert mentors and industry operators deliver mentorship and education programmes, and a peer-led community network creates connections.
What Opportunities do they offer?
- Education: Self-paced, cohort style, online and in-person courses and accelerators delivered by industry operators, and access to educational playbooks and resources.
- Mentorship: Guidance and support from experts, including industry operators, educators, founders and investors.
- Community: A peer-led online community platform provides an accessible space for people in startups to share knowledge, collaborate on ideas, and gather around challenges. Hosted meetups, events, common spaces, and in-person gatherings allow you to surround yourself with fellow founders in a startup environment.
- Workspace: Hubs across Scotland provide flexible physical space for members to meet, connect, and work alongside one another.
